Hello Hannah! For those that don’t know you, can you tell us who you are and what you do?
Hi guys I’m Hannah Attalah I’m 29 live in Bali and am the founder of Oceanus Swimwear!

Taurus.

Take us back to the very day you decided to start your own label, what inspired you to pull the trigger?
I’ve always loved the glamour of the 70’ 80 ‘ 90 ‘ I worked in NY for Donna Karen for a while and her designs, which featured intricate beadwork, embellishments, and a focus on feminine silhouettes were so beautiful I remember thinking I have to explore this some more.
I came back to London realised there was nothing interesting with bead work in swimwear so I guess that was the pull the trigger moment.

…unapologetic, audacious, unpredictable.

Is your personal style reflected in the Oceanus designs? Where do you get your inspiration from?
I love vintage with a twist of 80’s glamour. I very rarely do high st, and you’ll always find me browsing preloved.

You are not only the founder of your amazing and extremely busy label, but also a mother to gorgeous Daphne. We know it can be both chaotic and beautiful, so we would love to know how you are finding it, any tips on how to get it all done and whether you believe in the idea of balance?
These last 11 months have been life changing. Daphne was born in September, and 4 months later were both Bali bound, new house, flagship store opened and we are now planning her first birthday. So if this is what we call balance, then I’m blessed as I get to experience all of this with her.

What is the best advice you can give to aspiring female entrepreneurs? What would you tell your younger self starting out?
Dig deep, stand firm, be bold, be fierce and when presented take that leap of faith.

We believe in manifesting… Any dreams or goals you have for Oceanus you want to say out loud?
I have my friends here from the UK and Amsterdam - Jules and Lois - so we’re going to be manifesting on the super-moon. Plus we’re shooting our campaign on the same day! Putting all our good intentions out there, it will be a powerful day with amazing women!
