Hi! My name is Helena. I'm a designer and founded the resort wear brand Asta Resort.

YOUR DESIGNS ARE BEAUTIFUL, EFFORTLESSLY CHIC & GIVES US THOSE CONSTANT HOLIDAY VIBES! WHAT MOTIVATED YOU TO CREATE ASTA RESORT?
Thank you! Most of my family live halfway around the world in Denmark, so I have the most amazing memories of traveling on summer vacations with them, having lots of fruit, cold drinks at the beach, long dinners outside etc. I was studying design at university and often went to Bali in my uni breaks also.
I was obsessed with bikinis and light dresses that I could throw into a carry on and jet off with that felt chic and a bit more elevated than the ones you find in surf shops here in Aus. I took a subject where we had to design printed swim fabric for an assignment, and ended up making a few bikinis that I took away with me. My mum encouraged me to get a few more made up from a local supplier in Bali and after it being a hobby for a few months it started to turn into something more. I felt really motivated to create this capsule of beautiful clothes that are made for creating summer memories in.
DO YOU HAVE A FUTURE VISION FOR THE BRAND? AN ULTIMATE DREAM?
So many dreams for it! But wholesaling to an account like Revolve is on my bucket list.
YOU HAVE BEEN GIVING US SOME MAJOR TRAVEL ENVY LATELY! WHERE IS YOUR FAVOURITE DESTINATION?
We just shot a campaign in Ibiza and it is just the best place ever.. the best energy, and heaven on earth in every way. It gets stereotyped a lot as a party island which it is, but there is so much more to it. The nature and quieter beaches in the Sant Carles area are so peaceful. All the Spanish islands are a must.
BEST ADVICE FOR SOMEONE TRYING TO BALANCE THEIR BUSINESS AND SELF CARE?
Make sure your business makes you happy enough that you don't mind working in stupid hours of the night for it! It's like having a baby. For self care I think you just need to know when you need some down time. I'm also making sure that I'm setting times for the little things I love like a beach walk and a coffee.
WHAT ACTIVITY OR PERSON TAKES YOU TO YOUR HAPPY PLACE AND WHY?
Bike riding in Copenhagen and spending time with family.
WHAT HAS BEEN YOUR MOST FAVOURITE LIFE LESSON?
I'm lucky to have so many wise friends and people around me. They all are super self-assured and have a 'life is not a dress rehearsal' attitude, which is important to remember at all times!
WHO WOULD YOU LOVE TO SEE WEARING ASTA RESORT?
Hailey or Kendall would of course be the ultimate. Also Josefine Hanning Jensen. I love her style so much.
